why not go with cutteri instead of cons, much more worth breeding than convicts. If you go with a single specimen then a Thorichthys or Herotilapia would make good tankmates

What size of tank do you have? Once we know this I can give you a list of male cichlids you could add in with your male convict. But, if you want to keep your pair, than you can have no tankmates with them...

It is a 55g as stated in the title.

Looks like I may just leave it alone and only keep the one pair in there.

Who knows, maybe I'll try to sell the cons and just get some Cryptoheros Cutteri. I would love to get some Cryptoheros nigrofasciatus Rio Choluteca Orange. I saw them on Aquabid a while back and was WOWED instantly.

Standard 55g I believe with measurements of 48 1/4 x 12 3/4 x 21.
