Look pal this doesn't need to be a pissing contest. If you want to be the guru over here go ahead but your not giving the op any real advice. I don't do these debates so take the thread. Your more than welcome to check out any of my fish or tanks in the CA/SA section. Good luck with your Discus.

speak for yourself i do daily 90% water change on all of my discus tank and 100%+ on my baby discuses

How is that possible? Just curious, wouldn't it stress the discus out? I'm usually in the marine section however hovering around a little bit because thinking what to do with a 50 gallon corner tank lol

75% 2x a day=90% water being change.

also im not trying to mke it a pissing contest but to say people wont do water change simply because u dont is ignorant.

with $2000 of fish in a tank damn right you better be doing water change.

I

Not in the slightest as long as the water being put into the tank is very close to the water inside the tank. I do 90% water changes daily on my juvies at once and they play in the water being added to the tank. My sub-adults I have to fight to get out of the way while siphoning off the bottom cause they believe I'm sucking up food. And I do 50% at once daily on them.

Actually alot of people don't. If you look at alot of posts in discus disease sections most of what is wrong is caused by not enough water changes. And what fixes alot of the issues is...water changes. It actually is a fact alot of people buy discus and believe they will be ok with doing the weekly or monthly water changes. It is sad but it's true.

just curious do you use water from the tap or do you have conditioned water on reserve?

On my larger tanks (125 and 210) I use tap during the summer and aged during the winter because of microbubbles. And my growouts get aged water at all times.
