I would drain it down cut the panel out and put a new one in. Never trust a crack all it takes is a sudden change in temperature and bang just like the windscreen on a car I would change the tank or repair it.

Drain the tank. Cut a rectangular piece of glass big enough to cover the crack and an inch longer and glue it with silicon to the inside. Then place the tank so that the repaired part faces the wall.
