Personally I'd enjoy a breeding group more... some species on the list might be harder to get too, but... some also haven't been bred before and you might want to start with something else if you go down that road.

I see what you meen.
Would it really be worth it to do a breeding group of Green Phantoms? I like them alot.
I forget what species I saw before that I really liked, I beleive it was a scarlet, it had Very red finnage.
I think it would be interesting to do a breeding grouo of plecs.
What you reccomend for a beginner plec breeder? The only fish I have ever had spawn for me were Pseudotropheus Crabro, and convicts.

Hey WyldFya, I cant remember, but I think it was you who said there was a Lady in Seattle WA that breeds primaraly plecs, If it was you, can you provide me with information to see her stock? Thanks in advance...

Barbie breeds a lot of different fish, but she definitely is a very well recognized name when it comes to plecs. She lives in spokane though.

Awesome, thanks.

It's so hard to choose what plecs to do, Theres litterally hundres of plecs that will fit in a 75G. I'm not looking to go smaller than 8'' though.

Could someone just please reccomend a good priced, decent sized, nice looking pleco, or plecos that would make a nice breeding group for a n00b to breeding? I'm having a hard time trying to narrow it down. I really like Green Phantoms, but I like ALOT of other plecos aswell. Reccomendations, please! :)

A very simple plec to breed is the good ol' Bristlenose but these are going to be difficult to sell, cash depleting breeding programme. You wouldnt get much cash for them.
Starlight bristlenoses/peppermint on the other hand are very good to have a hand of. Round my way they are very easy to sell with a big price tag.

Starlights are awesme! Way cool.
How many do you think would be a god ammount for a 75 gallon? 5 maybe?
If I do a breeding group, I suppose tankmates are out of the question as they could eat the eggs of the plecs.

If you intend to breed, I wouldn't recommend trying your hand at phantoms, as they are not a beginners fish.

Thanks for the input.
They are amazing looking plecs.
I think I'm going to try and get my hands on some L030/L031

Been thinking, if I do just plecs, and not a breeding group. 75 gallon tank.
I want:
1xL031/LDA33
1xMedusa
1xAlbino bristlenose
1xL066
1xL144
1xGoldnugget
1xL204

Could I possibly fit a scarlet? I'm not sure if this will be the finaly stocking, I just want a mixed tank of nice looking plecs that are going to break the bank.

Possible problems with this...
No for the scarlet.
Personally, I don't like the idea of 3 seperate Ancistrus sp. they readily interbreed, and multiple males often fight.
The mixture between plecos that have a pretty strict carnivorous diet, with ones that shouldn't have too much protein based foods (particularly the Panaque - which you'll also need driftwood for).
