the back of the tank is painted black. i really like the stand, its a topfin stand from petsmart. tomorrow im putting the sand and water in and tuesday i will have some plants and the filters(two AC70s) running.

i do have one question though, will i need a lid/top for salvinis? i have a 48" coralife light with legs on t so i don't think regular lids will fit. what could i use instead? i have 2 24" lights but im not sure what watts they are and if i like them as much as the coralife light.

cool nice drift wood what are you going to put in it

cool driftwood in there. You dont necissarily "need" a top for sals(not big jumpers) but there is always that chance that one might attempt an escape. Plus a lid will also help with evaporation. anyways keep us updated with pics as you go.

LOL, this sounds silly, but I like Evap, if I wanna get a nice BIG clean on my tank, i let about 4" of water evap (Doesn't take long, its infront of a window) and then do a 40-50% WC, i swear this almost makes it like a 75% WC.

Sounds bad, but my water evaps at about 1.25" or more a day, and I do WC's usually twice a week Unless im coming up on the big one (This kind)

i just filled the tank up and put two large (13"+) amazon swords in. i also bought another piece of wood that i boiled already and am now soaking

Are those white things bubbles that stuck to the glass?
