55g tankmates for a Gold Saum

What tankmates could i surround a male green terror with? inside a 55g

gold saum will probably have to be by itself in a 55. unless juveniles and planning to uprade to a larger tank within a year

Rocks and maybe a striped raphael cat or pleco.

it will be kinda tight in there. i would stay away from other cichlids mabe some dither fish or a pleco. i hope you plan on getting at least a 100gal after a year cuz he will need the room. even by himself full size i wouldn't put him in anything smaller than a 75 and that is a lil small you could mabe do a pair in a 90gal. that would look sick!!! take ya forever for them to get to a descent size but still would be a masterpeice of a tank when full grown and spawning!!

BN plec and some spotted pim pictus. GT's like to swim around the whole tank so the catfish shouldnt get in its way.

Some type of bottom dweller only. A catfish of some sort, and have some hiding spots.

How big is he, and how long has he been in there alone? He may have already claimed the whole tank as his territory and just kill anything you try to introduce.

no i havent got him yet...but i have made my mind up on getting a GT for my 55g...im just trying to see what i could surround him with.....maybe I could do a Pair?
