55g zig zag eel tankmates

So I picked up a 55g recently and am thinking about how to stock it. The only thing I know for sure is I would like a zig zag or a peacock eel. I'm wanting to keep the tank fairly peaceful. What else would go well with the eel? I was thinking about an EBJD, but I don't know if I could have anything else with it. I'm thinking, counting the eel, 4-6 fish total. Thanks!
 
How about a peaceful planted tank with: threadfin rainbowfish,banjo catfish pair,panda loaches and some common hatchetfish and flying barbs
 
I would go with Bichir tank :)
They aren't the most peaceful but if it's all around them they will be peaceful with each other :)

Or just do a ton of tetras
 
I like the idea of a Bichir tank, how many Senegal or Delhezi could you have in a 55g? I'm definitely ok with s single species tanks, and I do love the ancient fish
 
(Also like rope fish, peacock eels, and anything long and almost snake like)
 
Lol she re thought it for a minute, then said no. Lol. So far she is really loving the lesser sirens and bichirs. I'm just worried that a 55 will be too small for a Bichir for life. I don't like to plan to move them to other tanks because sometimes life happens quicker than the big tank does.

You know personally I think a couple of the smaller bichirs would love to live in a 55 for life.

But if this was my tank I would have it be a GT tank... (just a pair with like a Bristle Nose pair and maybe a school of Tetras of some sort (congos probably))
