fahaka puffer..... but only if you intend on getting a bigger tank eventually

I was considering that but, I decided on a gsp because they stay at a more manageable size. Also, I see so many threads where people buy monster fish "planning" on getting a bigger tank. Only to have something stop them and make a fish suffer through their poor planning. I do see where you say only if you intend on getting a larger tank. But, considering how he finally has enough to buy a 55g. Who knows when he will have enough for a 150g? When i was 6, I bought a bala shark and put him in my 10g. Even though the guy at my lfs said he would get to big. I told him i was getting a 55g for my birthday. Well my birthday came around and I didn't get it and i was left with a bala shark suffering for my misjudgement. I just don't want to see that happen again.

yes iam planning on just keeping the fish in a 55g for life i absolutely HATE when people buy animals and know nothing about them and have the clasic 10g tank. that is y iam doing my research insteed of making a terrible mistake.
and zebra what fish was that????
and keep it going i would love to see more beastly fish ideas

the congo puffer already mentioned is a sick predator, although doesn't offer much in terms of energy and movement...usually doesn't play nice with others either...but a really cool fish

ok they look pretty cool.
dont get too big though.
i currently have a 29g tank with 1male 1 female convicts. Is there ANYTHING that i can put with them i want to put a bichir with them (of course im upgraded)

well, you would have to upgrade eventually when they out grew it..but I had a Silver Arrowana, Aligator gar and an oscar in my 55 gallon tank..and theyd go through 3 dozen minnows in 3 days. It was awesome to watch

thx guys keep the ideas flowin

Not for life though. Look at green spotted puffers, they're pretty interesting and fun to watch them eat.
