i need to order up a few large pieces of manzanita and then i can order the plants which will all be attached to the driftwood. right now i have a box of water running, but even empty, im happy with how its coming along. if anyone has tips or help with some of the stocking id love advice. my biggest concern is obviously the discus, but i know im overfiltered and will buy them at a large size. i have no intentions of breeding, but know paired fish tend to be less agressive toward eachother

ive read and spoke with tons of people about discus and everyone recomended groups of 6 or more or they would fight. i know i cant keep 6 adult discus, so i was hoping a bonded pair of adults would tolerate eachother. definately not going to just buy 2

right, like make sure only keep 2 discus together? obviously im nervous and have time to do research, but i think buying an adult mated pair is my only chance to keep discus in this tank.

^ damn thats a nice piece of wood... Can rarely find pieces like that over here anymore...

i ordered 3 thinking id end up using my favorite and hacking up one to fill it in, but im liking how just one looks. have some bigger river stones to add and then plant it and i think it will be good for fishes. still unsure on the stock, but im pretty sure im going with a pair of discus. VERY happy with the manzanita though, the colors are great now that its soaked and didnt take much to get it down. after a day it almost sinks
