decided to add a refugium/grow out to my tank...some of you were asking why there was a cichla in a net in my tank. it was cause this wasn't ready & i had to go overseas for 2 weeks.
anyways, thanks to Alcohologist for the brilliant idea. this is basically pieced together with pvc pipes, nylon, eggcrate & an acrylic sheet. i'm still trying to get it to look more inconspicuous, so am planning on removing the lime green nylon lining and replacing most of it with acrylic. plants will be growing in and around this fixture. i'm pretty excited/hopeful to see how this turns out.
build is 54" long, 13" wide & 6" tall.
