my five gal stocking is one MTS, one balloon molly, one neon tetra,two Pakistani loaches,one betta, two glass cats, however keep in mind my tank is heavily over filtered high flow planted and has large regular water changes.many of the fish are not in big shoals due to low LFS stock or them coming from a sick shoal and being the sole survivors. maybe if u over filter u could over stock a bit

Midget Livebearers (Heterandria formosa), you can keep a few dozen in a 5 gallon, along with a few ghost shrimp. Neat little fish.
