Well, I appreciate it!!!

woah. that sounds like something the Mafia would do. then again we all know there is no such thing as the Mafia.

Really sounds related to organized crime.

I wonder though why some one called the police just cause they saw a shoe floating in the water? Id call the police several times a day if I called every time I saw a random shoe in the water or laying on the road! lol It does make me wonder how people lose their shoes on the side of the road all the time!

Thats rediculous. JD7 brought up a good point though, i think i would call the police if i came across something like that. If you think about it, your taking your morning stroll, the water seems to be rather calm, and you see a shoe... wtf. Ummm, yeah... ring ring.

I read an article about this a while (a few feet) ago. It said that the feet most likely weren't severed prior to death but rather that the feet rotted/were eaten off the corpse. Tennis shoes are buoyant and don't readily decompose. Body floats feet up until the ankle joints give way, then you've got free floating feet.

The news just was talking about it! Investigators think they are plane crash victims.

You live in Destin and would call the police everytime you see a shoe in the water? lol

I guess all the shoes from PCB and Destin wash up around Pensacola where I usually see them when Im fishing!

The whole rotting corps thing makes since, that is unless the feet arent rotting and appear to be freshly severed! :barf:

serial killer ?? i just read it in our paper this morning..
