yeah man, you wont be disappointed. lighting is the MOST important thing in photography. and most of the time natural lighting is not good enough. even if you think it is, it can be vastly improved with a speedlights.

as for reverse lens, nope, you only need one! i use only one lens. you can get a $10 extension tube to make the magnification even stronger. and get a cheap $5 reverse ring. i got all this on ebay. but you wont get good shots w/o a speedlight, since your pictures will be almost pitch black unless youre shooting in extremely bright conditions
are u srs? i bought a reverse ring on ebay and i thought that it would let me do it with only one but i got it and i couldnt figure it out so i thought you still had to have 2!!

not at all, here's my 17-55 reversed using a reverse ring and extension tubes. the tubes are necessary for this big lens because it wont clear the body reversed. the 18-55 can be reversed directly with a reverse ring. this is all you need!

dang i cant figure this out lol i feel dumb it fits into the outside part of the lens perfect, but i cant get it to fit the opposite part of the lens into the camera body

it should snap into the body just like a lens. line up the dots, then twist to lock. the other part screws into your lens just like a filter would. unless you got the wrong ring. it is a Nikon reverse ring adapter right?

shoot maybe its the wrong one, it has threads on both sides

ah! i think you got a lens-to-lens adapter. it lets you connect one lens to another. you need a 'reverse ring adapter' made for a Nikon mount. and make sure to get the right size for your lens, the 18-55mm uses a 52mm ring. problem solved :)

exactly, i got the 52mm lens to lens *sigh well i guess its time for 2 new goodies then

well well well
