6 foot long tank

Im thinking about buying a 125 long which is 6 feet long for my dovii,instead of a 150 tall.what do u guys think.

Is this going to be the Doviis permanent home? Or is this tank for growout purposes? I dont think either would make a good permanent home but for growout purposes I would go with the 6' because of the length. Every Dovii I have had loved to swim from one end of the tank to the other which is why I prefer a 6" tank. 150 tall is only 4'?

why get a 125 when a 150 has the same foot print or go with a 180 just deeper. more water!

180 or the taller one, what is it, 220? Dovii will be a bit too long to turn comfortably in a 125 IMO.

I am with you although I will state it will take many many years for it to reach over 18".

180 is the best for it right now. 125 will suffice until he reaches 16 or so inches. Even though the 180 is the same length it provides more turning space and alot more water. I would say shoot for a 180 gallon.
