What are they, can someone name them?
I know Herichthys pantostictus (Chairel Cichlid), lahillas, escondido, and rio.. are 4 of them.

we got another one, Herichthys tamasopoensus. But is H. chomba within the 6 varieties of carpintis?One reason these varients may be hard to google, is that they are the names of locations tacked on for informational reasons, as opposed to actual species names. Valleys , rivers etc.
Herichthys tamasopoensus has been given true species status, although once thought to be simply carpintus from Tamasopo. At some point, H. chomba or lahillas may be given the same status, or maybe not. But we differentiate between locations because a fish from one area may be slightly different from one just across the valley, and in case in the future it is given species status, we can keep it pure if we are vigulent.
