dont wait too long. The older they get the more stubborn they are. Just like people...

Unfortunately i can attest to this problem, my VATF started taking shrimp and other raw seafood before I even got it at around 8" and is now probably double that and feeds that on preference. On the other hand my GATF will eat nothing but live quarantined feeder rosies. I've tried to starve them for two weeks when i was on a business trip with the same prepped seafood but they were ignoring it for another 3 day straight while looking all skinny and scrapped up from fighting. I'd recommend trying to get them to change asap. I'm doubting mine were ever change at this rate. Btw, nice juvie GATF, looks plump after a meal

Get him swapped asap. He's already large enough that he's likely to be nightmarishly difficult to break.

You made a mistake giving him feeders....
