OK, a LFS is going out of buisness and I have been buying stuff from them for the past 2 or 3 months to burn out his inventory. I just got a call from them and they have a display system that consists of 60 20 gal tanks that is about 28 1/2 feet long as best I can remember shaped like a 3 tier pyramid. It has a lower, middle, and upper level for tanks on 2 sides, all tanks are drilled and plumbed and this all runs through 2 hugh wet/dry systems. The rack is built out of a nylon / plastic L channel which will never rust and all the hardware is stainless. Anyhow, the owner just told me I can have the system for FREE. I am going over after work to see what it is going to take to get this thing disassembled and relocated to my garage. I have no idea whet I am going to do with it, but for free I cant say NO. I am gonna have a serious storage issue though, my garage is only 24 x 24 and the system is a couple of feet to long. I may be able to leave off a couple of rows of tanks on each side (6 tanks) and fit it in the garage that way but what the heck am I gonna put in 54 20 gal aquariums? No to mention it runs 2 pool filters for pumps, the electricity is gonna kill me..........anyone need a 60 tank system?????

wish i had the room

I am interested in this setup...do you think the parts could fit into a Uhaul trailer?? Or a Uhaul?

Could you get me more info???

Where is the system located..._____, maryland?
Coming from Vermont

Please keep in touch about this

ill buy some plus pay for shipping,id take up to 15-20

at that price you could afford to break/cut a few tanks out of the way to make it fit...

if you have the money... i would just extend the garage a bit...

hmm.. thats a lot of 20s....

Update, I brought home the first load of tanks last night after work. I could only fit 15 in my truck, so it is gonna take several loads. The store had 3 other displays set up with 3 tiers of 20 gal tanks totaling around 36 addidtional tanks. He is also going to give those to me. I am going to continue hauling the tanks home all week and will get pictures up as soon as I can but it wont be of the system set up. The original 60 tank system has all tanks drilled in the back upper left corner and lower right corner on the back of the tanks and has Blue lexan cut to fit as a background and siliconed in. All have bulkhead fittings. The additional 36 or so tanks are only drilled in the upper back left corner. The stands for those systems are junk 2x4 and rotten, so the tanks is all I am taking. I am looking at a serous storage issue though, so I know some of you are interested in them, I am located in Souther Maryland near Solomons Island / NAS Patuxent River, Eastern Shore, southern end of Patuxent River. I am trying to decide what I want to do with them, and will keep updates on this post. As soon as I get pictures I will post them.

Here are some pictures of some of them. As you can see the overflows are adjustable, and they are all in good shape. They need a good cleaning but otherwise its a great set-up.

I am still undecided as to what I am going to do with them. I am considering trying to trade the entire rack system for 1 or 2 large tanks, but as of yet I am not sure. There is going to be in the neighborhood of 90 tanks all told, I think some of them (5 or 6) are going to be junked, otherwise there would be 96 total. The fittings / plumbing alone on these is a small fortune, not to mention the rack / filters / sumps that come with it. A pet store or SERIOUSE breeder could put these to great use.

I currently have 10 tanks set up 180 / 125 / 90 / 75x2 / 70 / 60 / 55x3, and really dont need an additional 90 tanks, although I could use a 265 or a couple of 120's....we will see how this all pans out.
