Had this tank in the garage with my Flowerhorn but I decided to go a different route. Got rid of the Fh and have kept all kinds of cichlids and oddballs. Figured why not do something more docile
I have no knowledge on plants lol or peaceful fish but here goes a shot at something new. Just for ****s and giggles
2 neon tetras
1 Cory
And an old snowball that has been with me for years
I would like some angelfish or discus
But gotta make sure the tank is nice and healthy
I know the Cory’s and tetras need a school but for some reason the tetras drop like flies
I’ll get more soon

Looks great! I definitely recommend trying to get the cories and neons into a school. Neons frequently get what’s called Neon Tetra Disease, which has no treatment, but spreads via fish eating the dead carcass. Removing sick fish is the only way to stop its spread.
Based on the cube size, it may be a bit tight for angels or discus, so you’d probably be better off with smaller dwarf cichlids instead.

Okay that makes sense because I bought like 15 of them and they all died but I was not home for like a week and they must of got that disease because only two survived. Same with the Cory’s they all died except for one. Next purchase will be more Cory’s and tetras. I will have to pass on the angelfish. Definitely will do some discus, I have a 180 I plan to set up but not till I really have too. I’m still in the process of getting my garage all finished. The 60 is more manageable for the moment

According to proper fish keeping I am overstocked lol
Good news I’m loving the fish community and the peaceful environment
Fish are doing good plants ummmm not the greatest. It’s okay though I am currently looking for a 150 or 120 to upgrade too right now. Anyways here’s some shots of my current inhabitants
