Good advice everyone. So doing salvini I'll definitely be taking a risk. Also sounds like I should so a smaller slavini if possible, and a bigger firemouth so he has a chance. I'll add a few more dithers soon, possible check out the danios. Lastly, I do have some tiny trumpet snails that survived in the gravel some how. I'll ditch the algae eater if he stops doing his job

Why add fish that are just going to get the crap kicked out of them? Or why add that are more than likely going to be mutilated? Doesn't makes sense to me.

I had silver dollars with my jd for a while. But once he started striking them, I took them out. Why make them live in misery?

I'd suggest skipping the salvini. It won't work long term and the Firemouth will die as may the acara.

I agree, I was just saying if he already has them. Since in my case I have my danios already but could always transfer them. If he doesn't have them yet then I would say skip them to avoid the risk and maybe put your tetras in another tank if you have one available.

I already have the convict, the blue acara, and the tetras. I can easily take out the tetras or donate as they were cheap. Im thinking of gambling and getting a firemouth and small salvini. Any signs of problems I can easily move the sal ti my other tank.

It seems that you don't wanna listen to what most of the people here are saying. It's just confusing to me because why ask if you're still gonna do it anyway. Sals are very nasty and territorial. They're not like cons where they will just chase fish away and keep them out of their territory. Sals will kill. They won't be satisfied until the other fish is dead.
