That's cool. The only thing I can say I would change is put in a bigger viewing window.

Here is a video of the vat/tank. The only bummer is almost none of the Denison's barbs were in the video and they are really pretty fish!

I agree, but sadly they come that way. I would love to have one with a complete front view window! I believe these are made in Malaysia and were sold at Aquatic Eco Systems in Orlando, FL, but the company has been bought out. The new company may still carry the vats.
I had large fish in it at one time, but it's in a workshop and one bad winter I could not keep it warm enough and lost a 2 1/2 foot Silver Arowana (and other fish), so after that I insulated the tank and underneath the stand and now it holds the heat quite well, with one less heater.
Simply beautiful. It's gonna look awesome once you get the outside all skinned over with bamboo, post pics when done!
It will be a pain to do now but you could just cut out a bigger hole for the bigger window and reseal it. I never seen a vat made like that most the ones I seen are either custom or made for other purposes converted to a pond or tank.
I would love to see how it looked with some monsters in it.
