You must have one really big sister. :grinno: j/k hehe sorry. Felt obliged as you left that just dangling there. ;) Seriously. How did you move a freaking 500 glass tank?

Let's just say that it involved a floor jack under an axle, a farm jack under a stand and a ratcheting tie down strap.... Worked like a charm. :headbang2

Um, well, you KNOW I'll be getting in. Heck, I'm not sure I could even clean it or set it up without getting in! As for a swim suit shot with the catfish... we'll see. I do foresee me breaking out some of my SCUBA gear. I can't stand snorkels, and I'm not risking a deep breath of catfish water no matter how good the filtration is. I've done that one too many times already doing water changes.
.... no comment....:naughty:

Be careful not to scratch the tank with the tank.
I'll of course do what I can on my end, but eventually something is going to happen. At first I thought about polishing the acrylic before setting it to get it pristine, but then I thought better of it. I'm putting in a bunch of bulldozer catfish into this tank, in particular my 18" giraffe cat, Bernard. Bernard rearranges the wood in my tank daily using his wedged shaped head to literally flip large chunks of driftwood completely over. The decor going into this tank will be heavier, but I'm not so sure that's going to slow any of them down. I'm going to try to keep them from actually damaging the acrylic by tying the diftwood together into a large mass, but I have to be realistic about the fact that these guys will end up making their mark on this tank.

Looks like you were fully prepared with all the right equipment. After just using the liftgate on the back of the truck rather than manhandling that thing in there, you can really see that the right equipment makes things night and day easier.

Bad Bernard!

:grinno: I love it. I think it's totally awesome and quite entertaining to watch him move a chunk of wood as big or larger than he is. I'm the one who has him in a tank, so it's my responsiblity to take care of him and its up to me to make sure he doesn't damage the tank. If he wants to flip something over, I better just make sure its not something that will gouge the acrylic. He's in a 180 right now and really active. He's gonna be all over the place in his new home.

Congrats!!!! It looks great.

 pretty much how I was feeling all weekend :(

Glad it went to a great home though. With the size truck you guys brought over, I thought you guys were planning on taking my fish room as well....hahaha

Are you going fulfill House64's special requests? After all it is a tradition for all "MONSTERTANK" keepers.....:nilly:

However, I have a feeling he'd rather see Eric in the tank....LOL... =-P

Have fun with the tank. Can't wait to see it set up.

Jen/Eric

You guys really went all out. Good to see that those catfishes are going to have room to really get big!
