my friends though I was crazy before I started fishkeeping, now they just stopped coming over lol. could also be the drive from so cal though.
I've always found that women are great at moving things though. When my sister moved into her new house with my nephew she was able to do it all in one day...a pretty face and the ability to point and shout orders were in her favor.
Okay, it's not much, but I promised pics of progress and this is where we're at. Well, the stand is now back together and sitting properly on the floor, instead of in 3 pieces. So now the filtration can be stored much more efficiently as well. The sump is now back under the tank, and I can walk in my garage and open my dryer door all the way. Yea for clean laundry not done one handful at a time.
As for the car... We found out that the owners will be leaving on an almost 3 week vacation this coming Tues. I'm NOT going to be happy if he hasn't moved that stupid thing out, and just ends up leaving it for another month or more after he again promised to move it. I've decided that if he won't move it, we're out of here. I've already started looking at new places. So... since the car is not yet moved, we are not putting the effort into getting the tank up on the stand. However, we need the room, so we stuck the 385 gallon pond on top.
So, if the car is moved, we will be building a wood frame around the 385G pond and plumbing it into the 600G tank's system. Thought about rolling that sucker out and leaving it on the street. They tow once a week for street sweeping, so I figured that would would motivate him to find it a home. However, we may be soon finding ourselves a home if we pull a stunt like that.
I tell ya I got freinds who could make it look like a break in, say the word and it's gone lol jk
a new place may be nice lots of options for tank placement when you have multiple places to select from. just add the question "so do you have any old cars you never drive" to your list for landlords. lol
Jenn, I say leave the guys car in the garage and start looking on the MLS and/or Craigslist for a new place! You can find a HOUSE with a 2 car garage...... it'll be sweet! Fishroom and all!
