600 gallons of cichla!

lol...they look small in that huge tank.....what else you gonna put in there?

yeah they look small alright, i still don't know if im going to add some more fish to the tank, bio load might be too much and as the pbass get bigger, the tank may fit them alright in time. :) nevertheless i have 6 more orinos and 2 golden bahias that are still growing in another tank. they might be late additions but i have to see about 6 months from now:)

thanks everyone and thank you also for all the good advice and inspiration!! dont have any piquitis or melanaes or brokos as they are really expensive here and everywhere but these guys will do:) the arowana is actually having a hard time eating because the pbass will eat all the feeders in less than ten seconds. when its time to throw in the hikari pellets, the pbass still eat follow the pellets through the air and once it reaches the water its gone. might have to take the aro out but im not sure yet.
Seeing that pleiozonas are relatively new to the hobby, does anyone know how big they get? research papers say about 34cm but im thinking they might not have much documented facts about this fish species.

Just keep feeding the tank pellets until all the cichla get their fill so the aro can eat as well.

yeah bro that's what i've been doing lately.. Honestly i don't like it though, too much food makes them lethargic and belly-stuffed, plus adding to the bio load for sure. i don't want my guys to have digestive problems down the line either.. To counter the overfeeding i just feed once every two days... :) i hope the aro can adapt to the feeding pace.. He is, after all, just a side show hehehe

Updates on these sexy bass?
