i remember the fight above when they did true tournament style (think ncaa bracket). You'd battle 3-4 people in the same day, not the 4-5 month break between fights like today. All kinds of weird match ups before people realize that you need a ground game (thank royce gracie). If you ever get a chance to watch the original UFC fights and set up, check it out.

My point though, if i recall right, hackney broke his hand on the sumo wrestler and had to withdraw from the tournament. Won the battle but lost the war
