Assuming the ambient room temp doesn't get below 55F or so and you're heating to the average 78F, then yes - 600W will be fine.

can i recomend stealth heaters? $ 4 $ best i've gotten to use. after many failed glass type and the lose of my lima, steath all the way! for me ne how. just go for the better ones youll use less power, petstupid price matches dr's catalog, and youll be worry free!

Personally I prefer Jager heaters, but to each his own. 600W is enough to heat a tank that large, but titanium heaters will get you much farther along than the stealths.

I like jager as well. It's what I use on my other tanks, but the biggest they make (that I can find) is a 250w. I just want to be sure I have enough.
What are these stealth heaters? got a link?

The Stealths can also be found on the PetSmart website for around $20 each for the 250W version (which will be fine if you've got a pair of these for 500W total and an ambient room temp at or above 60F).

FWIW, I've also had Jager's too and haven't had any problems with them either.

I run 2 300's on my 220 and it is more then enough...

Same here. I've actually had to unplug one because it was starting to over-heat.
