I just recently moved my 7inch GT to my 80g with a Female GT...so now in this 60 gallon tank i just have a 4inch Pink Convict with 5 australian rainbows, 5 serpae tetras, and couple of other tetras.....if i could..what other cichlid could i add?
you could go with just about anything except for an extremely aggresive cichlid like a red devil/midas or a dovii or jag or something...
but heck..go for whatever you want..the only thing you really do is just MAKE SURE you create enough hiding spots for whatever you want to keep alive...the key to cichlid keeping
I would get either another convict or a jewel cichlid or some smaller mbuna like yellow labs or something. Make sure if you get another convict then just get one that is the same sex as the one you already have, if you get a breeding pair you won't have any fish alive in there.
I have a 1 1/2 inch male green terror in a 30g grow out tank.....if i add him do you think he will when he is bigger eat the rainbows and the tetras???
other fish that u might get that wont hurt any of your fish are key holes or a gold or blue ram max size about 3 to 4 inch and really dont bother any one i have had them with neons in my 55g
i would love to get some keyholes but they dont sell them where i am located....my only choices are African Mbuna, Firemouths, Jewels, severums, and rams.............but could rams be kept with a convict?
i have had rams with some smaller convicts but as far as a big pink one its kinda a 50/50 if u have places 4 them to hide i would say go 4 it just change the tank around when u do convicts tend to want to claim thier space
see im kinda confused....I can maybe do 1 firemouth and 1 jewel cichlid with the pink con , and the australian rainbows and the serpae tetras....does this sound good???
cause im not looking for an overstocked tank...just something comfortable for the fish
