65 Gallon Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
IMHO this tank is too small to house any polypterus long term. I would say that you would need a minimum of 48" for any species of polypterus.

however it should be fine for any ctenopoma or butterflyfish if set up correctly

Ironically I got the tank specifically because it was the biggest one I could afford right now, and because the primer stickied at the top of the forum said it would be alright for a smaller bichir like a Senegal. The minimum of all right, but still alright. and I do want to get a bigger tank in a year or two after some saving, or put one together myself, even though I generally suck at such things.
