Checked the pond out this weekend and the fish are doing good. There's not many guppy left, I suspect the goldfish, which are growing pretty fast got hungry and ate most of the guppies. The fish are only fed 1-3 times a month, so they're probably hungry. I think I'm going to buy a few of these tetra vacation feeder blocks and throw them in every time I live so they get fed a little more gradually, and not just alot when I'm there, with nothing in between.

Or perhaps some automatic feeder gadget like this:

It's -15°C (5°F) there during the nights, but the water is warm and cosy, so I guess heat is not a problem with the pond, even in the winter like now.

1.34 years and counting!

Glad to hear everything is well, and hope Mum still likes it too.

Place the vacation feeder tins on a block to suspend them from the bottom muck.

Check with the Manufacturer on the Auto feeder to make sure they will work in your temp.s, batteries could be a problem tho. (maybe a gel cell).

Good to hear from you again and thanks for the updates.

I haven't checked the pond myself since a couple of weeks ago, but it's been really cold here the past week or so, about -25°C (-13°F) during the nights. My parents went there this weekend and told me the pond is fine... Another thing about the house though, a cold water line broke because of the freezing temperatures and the house is ruined... Wood apparently doesn't like alot of water and humidity for extended periods :|
