65g stock question

Most 65's are the same footprint as a 40 breeder, but taller(which neither of your fish actually need). Long term, I think the stock you have now may fill that tank perfectly. A gt and jd would surely kill each other in that tank. Might be able to get away with a blue acara with enough hiding spots.

In another thread it was just suggested that I keep the JD & 2 sen's, get 8 tiger barbs and 3 pictus cats.

I suppose I've realized that in a 3' tank two territorial, aggressive cichlids is probably not a good idea. I'm just about sold on the 3 pictus cats, and I think having the 8 tiger barbs would be pretty sweet, but I also think that might overload my filter?

um ( not to the OP but to the person that said to add an oscar ) a MIN sized tank for ONE oscar is a 75 and the OP tank is only a 3 foot so its no way poss for him to have an oscar AND a jack togther with 2 sens... ONE oscar per 75 min.... i have 2 in my 112 with a sev and thats pushing it... well divided with a pair of cons on the other side but still i do water changes and also have a eheim 2260 for filteration so im good. and i stilll think that 2 oscar for my 112 is a lil to much but with extra work it will manage.
