6ft tank prices 180g vs 125g

At my LFS, it was 540 all together..it was his winter special..but he still sells a 125G setup for 600 including tax..was planning on getting another one but wasnt so sure if I was gettin ripped off or I was actually getting a good deal..
 
Petland Discounts here on Long Island sells a 125 gallon all-glass tank (72x18x21) with an iron stand and glass tops for $400 The bare tank is $225 plus tax I think... I believe the 180 all glass goes for like $450 maybe

I got my 90 gal with stand, glass top, and light for $ 450, plus they sold me everything else for 15% off.
 
check your local recycler.

i just bought a 180gl acrylic tank/stand canopy/sand/driftwood/sump for 700 dollars locally. guy was moving and couldn't take it with. if you have time available i HIGHLY recommend the recycler. you have to sort through some junk but you will find multiple diamonds in the "rough".
 
I got my 150 tall from Petsmart for:

$349- Tank
$150- Stand

Lights, tops, and UGF included.

Under $500 which I think is a decent deal...
 
I got my 125g (marineland) w/ glass lids, lights, gravel, tank background, & cabinet/stand for $450 (like $475 w/ tax) from big al's, at their end of the year clearance sale.
 
I found a wisconsin wholesaler who will deal in volumne and most importantlyfor me - since i am setting up a whole new room - deliver.

125 aga are $269 - lids are $35
75 aga are $115 - lids are $25

That includes tax and deliver. He is delivering 30 plus tanks, 50 plus glass tops and a ton of lights. I figured it would be 12 trips or so in my Highlander. He is building in something for delivery, but i dont feel screwed.
