Ok, this question is not fo rme.
It is actually for another forum, i am merely seeing what the reaction is in a forum that is less localised and more widespread around the world.

Can EVERYONE give me feedback on their opinion if htis is a good idea.

a simple yes or no is fine, but i would prefer your reasoning.

Thanks

depends on what you're aiming for.. I can definately see marshy and some others getting away with it.. 5 asian aros and 2 rays (not flowers or any other giant sp) is probably better than most aros end up in..

I'd think it's on the small side (given the right filtration) but not enough for flaming.. something like that..

hey mate.. i'm assuming that these are adult rays and adult aros.. i'd def say no.. no matter what.. even if the tank has the best filtration and the fish are taken care of 24/7.. it will be a little too cramped.. its like sayin i can be shut up in a 10'X10' room all my life. just my view.. cheers..

I am going to say no.
Reason: Unless you are prepare to do 3x40% water change per week. Ammonia build up from all the waste and feeding will eventually kill the stingrays. Also, thinking towards the future as the fish gets bigger it will be very cramp for all the fish to live comfortably.

Was this from arofanatics?

I have 8x3x2 and 7x22x30 and they are tied into a 75 gallon sump with 75 gallon per day auto waterchange and then fed through an ultima 2 and it barely keeps up with 2 rays, 2 aro, 2 rtgg, 10 clown loaches, a large prochilodus, and several plecos. It may work if there is enough turnover and filtration but I doubt the long term success. Aquarist must be vigilant at all times. If something goes wrong it can end in a hurry with such a stock list.

Very well put.

It can be done but it isnt a great idea. I have a 300 w 2 rays and some pbass and he tank just has a hard time keeping up. If the power goes out im in big trouble

yes, it is from arofanatics, I got massacred because i said that its not a good idea lol
im trying to prove that i am not insane:D

i want to tell them that then saying its ok, is not only cruel in a sense but a bad idea for fish life lol

i gave them a link to this so they can see for themselves.

i honestly dont know why some says its ok. personally i think 5 aro will be overcrowding that tank. a more ideal situation is 3 aro and 2 rays. even then i think its pushing it

I hope they are watching.. seriously whoever suggested this could try living for a month in a 10'X10' room with ten other ppl.. eat.. sleep.. crap and all that in the same place and you cant go out.. that would prob make them understand ;)

totally agree with hung on this.. tank could still be a lil bit longer like 8'
