can we get a in tank shot? ;)

They are currently in a 55g tank as I'm still cycling my 240g for just for them. I wanna be the first one to breed these snakeheads here in BC. I will post pics when my 240g is done.

They ate alreay just 3 hours that I place them in the tank. As for aggression... I have dividers ready. Aggression is no new to me. I used to have a super aggressive red snakeheads and occelated snakehead. So hopefully not much aggression as I'm planning to breed them. The 1st auranti that I have back in 2004 was killed by a smaller asiatica. Just 4" shorter but aggressive.

lets hope u do breed them, the other thing u can do to break aggression is have lotsa driftwood in the tank, they prefer really cramped places and love to swim through branches of driftwood and reedy plants in the natural environment.

the other thing i would suggest for them to be constant active fish is to keep their diet as much as possible of insects, i go with meal worms and super worms once every week, and feed them only twice or thrice a week, i say this 'cause my auranti was very sluggish when it reached 15"+ and since i added worms to the diet, i have seen a more active channa. and keep them as lean as possible thats when their beautiful fins actually grow taller, else u will have shorter fins and placid fish

Earl, keep a thread to mark their progress as u intend to breed them, this is gonna be awesome:headbang2
