6'x12'x30" basement pond... how too?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Not all pond liners are created equal, but a good 45 mil pond liner is puncture resistant.

This is what we where looking at for pond liners. Good or bad I have a tendancy to want to over-build things. That koi pond is amazing and i have seen a few others here that gave me inspiration. Maybe i just don't like the idea of a black wall and bottom. no other suggestions for alternatives to pond liners?

Not really a alternative but tile on the bottom of a pond liner looks fantastic. You can see even darker fish perfectly.

For the moment we've gone with a 10' diam x 30" intex pool.... I will be building the filtration in a permanent place but plan on upgradeing the pool to a block build in the next few years, after abit of research and bank account increase. after figureing out the cost of block ect... it was looking pretty tigh on the budget, and an unexpected bathroom reno took a good chunk away. The pool holds approx 1,100 gallons so we will be takeing a sideways step with a block build later but I just don't trust a pool liner long-term. And I want to make sure we have enough to build and finish the project once we start it.
