No ive tried. he is 7.5 and she is 5.5-6" he was too aggressive for her. Ive also tried a 4" female and no go. the rtm females just arent aggressive enough for him. I put him with my large female festae from my large pair i just sold to see and she was 8-9" and pushed him around lol the next time i try to cross im using a male mota with female festae
Yeah thats my plan too, but people keep buying all my Festaes as soon as I can get them.
This point and time in my hobby, I no longer want to just have fishes to look at. I found that I get bored and buy new ones then its too crowded and some gets replaced back and forth. Now I want to make it worth my time and effort. Im currently looking for a female Flowerhorn for my Kamalau (Golden Monkey). Possibly another pearly flowerhorn so that the all the "good" characteristics are amplified.
