I agree.. my big florida was skitterish until he was about 12" and our 6" is very skittish atm. I would get him grown up abit more before adding him. Koi can be rambunctiouse at times and could spook a young gar easily.
7"FL gar in pond with 12" koi??

what? its depend on what kind of gar, FLG need about the same temperature as koi.
