My GT was banging the glass at me when he was only 3" and was never afraid from day one. He remains one of my most personable and interactive fish at 8" now.
7 months and my Green Terror's still afraid of me.

Sorry for replying this thread from last month., but my GT's not afraid of me anymore. Last month I removed all the decorations and hiding places from the tank. The tank was bare except for the substrate No other fishes either. He gradually grew more confident.
Now he comes up when I approach the tank. He used to hide behind the decors earlier. He's not ready to be hand-fed. But i think he's getting there. Maybe i will put the decors back after some more time...

thats great, glad to hear is coming out of his shell more, as he grows he should grow out of this and then you can try adding the stuff back in
