He wouldn't want a pair from the same batch anyway, that's inbreeding, and i'm shure he'd want the "grade" to increase not decrease.

You can get some pretty sweet FH from inbreeding, I don't think it would be any different with a FHxTexas.

Last September I had posted pics of my Texas/Flowerhorn fry......here is a current pic of one of the fry at 7 months old.

When I gave the fry away someone had bought the mother and father, so I had to keep two for myself.

I ended up keeping two females.....the picture is of the 5" female who has the body shape of her mother...fat belly and all.
The other female is 7" and not nearly as colorful.

do you want to breed her with my fish?

you have a beautiful avatar btw. Are they your fish?

Some people breed back to lines to capture a certain genetic trait. They do it with dogs and other animals. You may want to repeat a certain marking or a certain coloration, or even a certain physical attribute.

I am willing to breed her with other fish.....she is attractive and I want to see if I can create someting brilliant.....

The fish in my avatar belong to the guy who started my love of fish. He was the guy at my lfs, and one day he just never came back........I put it there so if he sees it he will pm me......maybe.

He had such a great knowledge of fish.......I hope he is still in the hobby

my god that must be nice to own all those beautiful cichlids.

Thanks for the compliments.....I will definately post updates as the fish progress.

If I end up with a boatload of fry.....everyone gets five!!
