7" Thin Bar Datnoid

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The fish is in perfect shape-no fin nips, rips, etc. This fish likes to change his color alot. Half the time he has the dull coloration (as pictured) and half the time he shows the normal pattern (light backing with about 4-5 dark brown bars).

I was pretty sure I paid $35 from Aquascape about a year and a half ago when it was half this size.

So for 1 year, you've managed to ID your fish incorrectly.
You have a microlepis tiger , aka Indo tiger.

At 7 inch. I would say £10 / inch= £70 or $100 roughly.

I bought it as a "Thin Bar Datnoid" from Aquascape. I just assumed that is what it was. I never even thought that it might have been a different one. Probably should have I guess.

Why do you say it is unstable? He eats well every day and has no problems as far as I can see.

I would sell it in the range of $100-$125 thats what their selling for now. Some for even more. Market went up in the states not that long ago cause they were harder to get this year. And their calling it unstable because the colors are not bold. If it was stable the bars would be sold black and the body color would be nice gold color. Nice dat though.

This fish doesn't stay this color all the time. I am going to do a waterchange today. His coloration is exactly the same as in all your avatar's but he can change his color from the normal pattern to the one pictured. When I see him change it back to normal I will take a pic to show everyone. It is an awesome looking Datnoid when he has the normal pattern.
