70 Gal planted tank !?

Not sure if this should be in here or in the Planted tank section ,

But basicly i am planing on doing a Planted . Almost full of plants with the front 1/4 with none . I am still planning on what fish i sould get i have made a list of what i like but i am still not sure which ones to finally choose .

I am wanting a mixture of bottom , middle and top fish , so please help suggest what fish would work best together and how many each fish .

I am wanting lots of intresting colour and movment in the tank . The tank will be in the Dinning room of the house which has to be walked though to get to the Kitchen and Living room so i am wanting some impact in the tank , something to watch and not to be left and not to be wathched .

Please help .

Clown Pleco ( about 3 - 5 )
Twig Catfish ( 1 - 2 )
Whiptail Catfish ( 1 - 2 )
Cory ( not sure yet but i am thinking about 15 - 25 )
Cherry Barb ( not sure yet , as i havent finished choosing fish yet )
Lemon Barb ( not sure yet , as i havent finished choosing fish yet )
Rosy Barb ( not sure yet , as i havent finished choosing fish yet )
Pearl Danio ( not sure yet , as i havent finished choosing fish yet )
Zebra Danio ( not sure yet , as i havent finished choosing fish yet )
Silver Hatchet ( not sure yet , as i havent finished choosing fish yet )
Marble Hatchet ( not sure yet , as i havent finished choosing fish yet )
Harlequin Rasbora ( not sure yet , as i havent finished choosing fish yet )
Emerald eye Rasbora ( not sure yet , as i havent finished choosing fish yet )
Alsorts of Tetras ( Eg. Bleeding heart , Black Phantom , Flame , Penguin , Serpea , Ect ) ( not sure yet , as i havent finished choosing fish yet )
Rainbow Fish ( not sure yet , as i havent finished choosing fish yet )
And others if i can .
 
could also add some shrimps like japanico, rcs, glass/ghost shrimp, bamboo shrimp. gl with the planted tank

Ok ill try post some picture when i get up and ruuning .

Just cannt decide on the fish i want , yet .

Bought 16 Tiger Barbs and 3 Angel fish today , so i dont think Rainbow fish are/ should be on the list now .

But from the list i have made what fish should i go for , how many of each ?
 
I would defanitly go for both of the hatchets. Just make sure that the lid is on real tight. Had all 5 of mine jump out during a water change.
Definatly go for the corys! You say you got 3 angel fish? Then I wouldn't go for the harlequins because they might become food for the angels later on.
But that is just my 2 cents...

Thanks , pictures would be point less ATM really Nothing much too see . But as soon as i have plants in and the tank has setled down i will deffently try get some pictures up .

In my opinion, You should not add any more species. The number should be kept to a dull roar. You should add more of each of the schooling fish: A couple more tiger barbs, a few more hatchets, and extra cories. Too many species and they will all mingle rather than school around in groups, if you know what I am saying. The larger the school, the better. Think ANCHOVY. 12 or so hatchets, 15-25 of ONE species (or two at most) cory.

If you are dead set on more species, maybe try a shrimp or some sort of small pleco.

Get a few more Tiger and Green Barbs , about 20+ Cory ( a couple diffrent type ) , about 5 Clown Pleco , 3 Twig Catfish , 3 Whiptail Catfish . Then 2 or 3 more diffrent speices of Schooling fish , not sure what tho . Something not to big but with alot of colour , some sort of Tetra or another type of Barb . :confused:

I was thinking shimp too , i went to a LFS near me and was watching a tank full of Shimp and they cool cool but i wasnt sure if i should get them or not , might go up agian and have another look at them .

Ideas please , anything/ what every you all want to say . What fish , how many , Ect . . . :D
