Thats a hell-a-cool tank! Makes ya wish you had the room and the bank roll to back it. Tank might only be $400 but filtration will run you thousands by the time its all said and done.

Thanks for the heads up, Im keeping that design in mind for the future.

you sir, know almost nothing by the way that statement came out of ur mouth.

the tank is the most expensive part of most setups at times. filters are easily built n designed at a fraction of the cost. my 400gal tank cost 500, my filtration cost less then 150-200... n thats over 35gallons of bio, 50gallons of water in the sump, and 2200gph of filtration, pvc piping, pvc cement, light fixture, grave, heatingl...

that tanks dimensions are ***. only my opinion. that tank wouldn't work for me. good price tho for whoever wants to use it.
 
Id like to see what kind of filtration you would set up for under a $400 which is the cost of THIS tank.

You say your filtration cost less than 150 -200 and you claim to pump 2200gph. Not a chance! consider your self lucky then cause everything must be dirt cheap where your from.

2200gph via aqua pump as 80 bux shipped to my door
50gal tub for sump was 8 bux
all pvc was less then 10 bux
glue was 3 bux
3 17gal tubs for bio was 4 bux each
all my bio media was 40 bux
filter floss was 8 dollars at walmart.
2 via aqua 300watt heaters, 20 a piece...
brings my grand total of filtration on my 400gal tank, to 197 bux...

thats all it takes for 2200gph of filtration on my 400gal tank, and its crisp clear. and my fish love it.
 
Just cause im new to the site doesnt make me new. I do it all myself but I like things to show some quality not walmart tubs. But if you where able to do it for that price thats great. Hell I wish I could do it that way I would save myself a crap load. Sounds like a great set up youve got.
 
jus cuz i got it at walmart doesn't mean it lacks quality. i coulda bought it at home depot, internet, big lots, or found it in a dumpster. its a 50gal bin regardless. i mean i coulda used a 100gal tank instead but i chose not to so my piranhas can live in there. it works, and i saved money so i can buy more big fish.
