Alright guys...this should be a lot of fun. The company my father works for wants a tank in their office, and I'm going to make a proposal as far as what to do. I asked them if they wanted something average or something "wow!" and they opted for the better of the two. I am also set on african cichlids, just because of the color and I've wanted to set up a rock tank for some time now.
Here's what I had in mind:
72 bowfront
black pine cabinet stand
2 AC110's
18000k high intensity bulbs
Does that sound good for the basic setup?
I had pictured white sand with lace rock or similar piled up as the focal point in the rear. Does anyone know what kind of rock to use is the best and where to obtain it?
How many fish can I have and what kinds of africans should I be looking for? I'm looking to have a decent amount of small, colorful fish, as opposed to a few larger ones.
Any suggestions on how to make this "wow!" would be helpful. I'm not paying for it myself either, and I could probably get 500-1000 out of them for this easily.
Let me know what you think! Thanks!
