you can do a pair, the problem is that they can cross... so 4 pair could be a crazy time with fry. Haps will get the color and keep it for the most part. Certain peacocks can be together without females and will show great color. Try not to put similar types together... The link below is about keeping males and females together, but follow the plan and get a male from each group without the females and they will show better color over all...
