okay guys heres my plan for water proofing the tank. im going to build the tank its self outta 3/4'' plywood and cut out my veiwing window then fiberglass the hole in side to water proof it. now my question being is it going to matter what type of fiberglass i use? i was gonna use fiber glass from Bondo, sound good? after fiberglassing it im going to paint the inside.

If by figerglass you mean polyester resin, I would try to find someting a bit higher quality than the Bondo resin. I don't know about Canada but I'm guessing you can buy something by the gallon that is better quality and ends up costing the same per quart/liter.

If by fiberglass you mean the mesh reinforcement, then avoid mat and use a fiberglass cloth in the 7 ounce range.

What are you going to paint it with? You can tint polyester resin if you want to stick with one material.

I still think your going to want a frame for this tank, Just the plywood will not be able to hold up to the water pressure your going to create. Your going to need a frame and then put the plywood inside that, and you could always get cheap sheets to cover the outside if you want it to be clean. Look at a tank that is under built and look at the bowing, My tank is a perfect example, 1/2inch acrylic and the bowing is allot, I would not do the plywood only method. The overall 10 foot span is just huge and hard to not get the bowing. Your window will have a really hard time sealing on a curve.
