72G bowfront, what would you stock?

I'm getting tired of my CA comm and I'm thinking of converting my my 72 bowfront into an african tank. I've read some of the stickies up there and I really like peacocks and haps (my dad use to keep them in the old 125 till I took over and went CA 2 yrs ago). What can I mix from these 2 species? Tank is 4ft long and 18" width at its max point. I want fish that won't get bigger than 7-8" max. Thanks in advance.

what about birchirs with the mix of cichlids??

I'm looking at ornates actually the other day but wouldn't they eat my cichlids. And what kind of peacocks and haps do you guys recommend me to get.

depends on what size the cichlids are im sure!!

ornates are still small, maybe 4-5". The cichlids will be about the same size or slightly larger.

What are your hardness and pH?

This will determine if the phantom will thrive.

I'm slowly raising the pH right now to 7.5-7.8 Not sure on the hardness, gotta get a tester kit.
