72x30x24 or 84x24x30 tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm gonna be different and say I'd go for the eight footer. For me, either tank would be a growout, so I wouldn't be so concerned about footprint.

Width is much cooler! I love my 60x30x24

I would grab that size tank if was available in Hawaii.

I would also go with the 30" front to back, one thing i wished i done with my tank...

With 30" you can stock almost any fish except for certain extreme cases...

Actually it just clicked that this is 84" not 96". So seven feet. In that case, definitely the 30" wide tank.

i recently bought an 8'x2' but really wished it was wider :/
the 84x24x30 can hold a bit more water but i'd go with the 72x30x24 :)

Depends on the stock...The longer and taller tank looks nicer. If it is for a living room type and you are not filling in with true large monsters, I say the longer and taller tank. Your wide bar will be fine in a 24" wide tank.

If it is for a fish room, a shorter tank is easier to work with.

I have a 96"x24x30 and I love how it shows in the living room.

I agree that the taller tanks look very impressive but hard to clean and move anything from the bottom.
