73g with flathead cat

im getting a 73 gallon tank and a baby flathead catfish do u think it would be suitable. i would on keep it tell about 15-20 inches if u think its a good idea what should i feed it

I'm going to tell you right now to not do it... Nobody will take large catfish and it is illegal to release fish back into the wild from an aquarium. So don't do it. neither you nor the catfish will be happy in the end.

Unless you have a large pond on your property that you are willing to take care of, dont do it.

agree with above statements also a 15" cat would be very cramped into that tank let alone a 20" you would be needing a new tank in 6 months so if you dont have a pond leave large cats alone.

More info on the pond? If it's a mud pond the cat won't survive in it, and most koi/goldfish/water gardens are too small.

about 15 by 15 ft
