740 Gallon Plywood tank for Discus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This thread is awesome. A wood tank is definately something I'm planning to do for my next one. The rock work looks good too. I've done a few foam backgrounds like that on much smaller tanks, and i'm definatly looking forward to doing somthing on a far larger scale. Great job!

Meanwhile the tank is filled with water again. :nilly:

Behind the rear background a Red Dragon pumps the water behind the left background. From there the water flows back into the tank like a little stream and a bit also flows into the little pool in the overhang.

The Red Dragon pumps around 8000 l/h

Still a bit cloudy.....

The filter material (Kaldness) behind the left background.
The grey PVC pipe goes down beneath the sand bottom. RO water is supplied into this pipe and slowly moves into the tank through the sand bottom.

The lamp is hanging above the tank on a chain.
And the first fish are in, some cardinals.
Meanwhile also some Sterbai''s and keyhole cichlids have been added.
The discus have to wait a while when I'm back from my holiday.

Next thing, getting the plants in. Floating plants already in, and growing fast!
