The tank and the Nassa look great! I tried live plants in the past and it always ended in failure. Either the plants would die or the fish would dig them up. I think I might try again in a tank with fish that won't destroy plants.

Thanks Al, I love live plants but unfortunatly some species of fish don't share the same appreciation for them.

Looking good! Any aggression among themselves?

Thanks Peat. Hardly any yet, they each have their own spot and other than feeding time don't interact with eachother at all.

looks good. i like how u center the lights and left the cornors dark

I always liked that look too and it works well with low light plants in low tech set ups. I use Water Sprite in almost all of my tanks, the stuff is a nitrate sponge.

Beautiful, thanks for sharing, going to be setting up a planted tank myself soon.

X2!
I have to stick with plastic & silk, because they never seem to work. Even Java moss & fern get thrashed in my tanks.

Tank look sweet!!!
I like the natural look.

Thanks for the nice comments, it's always nice to think fellow fish keepers think you did a good job.

This is the BAT that hung out too long in front of the largest Nassas log. If I was running UV on the tank I don't think it would of made it.

Whoa...That's brutal!!!:WHOA:
I can't believe that BAT is still acting like nothing happened, he must be in shock.:grinno:
Looks like he was a pretty nice BAT.

It happened about two/three weeks ago the fish is fine and acts compleatly normal. I did make a typo above and should have said "if I wasn't running UV I don't think it would have made it". UV really makes a differance and IMO improves the overall health of the system. It was, as you can see a nasty wound and never showed the slightest sign of infection. That's why I also ways tell posters with problems to keep the system clean, regular water changes, filter maintenance and gravel vacuming ect goes a long way in correcting and more importantly avoiding problems. UV is a great tool, used in conjunction with a regular mantenance schedual will keep your system healthy and vertually trouble free. I don't mean to preach but I see so many posts about problems that could be easly avoided with regular maintenance.

That tank is beautiful Tom!!! The nassa are looking great too! They have put on some size for sure.
