Also highly oxygenated water can be accomplished by an air pump or aiming the output of the filters at the surface to of the water to cause agitation.

I do both. I have an FX4 aimed at the surface also use an air pump. I use Ehiem air pumps, absolutely silent comes with emitters so you can control amout if flow on the pump and bubble size with the emitters.

I have a Busynose pleco in with my HRP's. Great little cleaner fish. Does not get to big, does a great job of algea control.
Sounds good to me, maybe I’ll get an albino so that I can see it when it’s hiding against my dark rocks and driftwood haha

Great, I do have a AC110 and a fluval 406 as well as two power heads that I can aim up to agitate the surface.

I do have an air pump running two small air stones as well....that should help with surface agitation

BE02863E-FAF6-456F-9A71-5E7323F0ADD8.jpeg Well I decided to go the Giant Danio route. Got 12 of them, they’re small right now, probably about 1/2 full size. That brings me to 5 green swords and the 12 danios, next up is the 6 juvenile Sajica. Can’t wait!

Oh btw, I also am attempting my first live plants....I have 2 narrow leaf java fern in there and a 3rd waiting to go in. If they do well I’ll pull the fake plants.

Thank you! I feel like I get better at Aquascaping each time I change things up....it’s not perfect but it’s probably my favorite setup I’ve had yet.

oh and you see the little fry tank on the top left of the 75....i currently have a single green swordtail baby in there, about 2 weeks old. He’s the only one i managed to save before getting eaten

Gourami Swami Gourami Swami hi, so I finally got my 6 juvenile Sajica in a 20L quarantine. I got them 5 days ago. They came with a lot of ripped/torn fins etc but seem to be fine otherwise.

It seems I already have a pair forming

They have claimed a cheap plastic hideout and are defending it. Of course they’re the two biggest ones I got, and they’re starting to make life tough on the others. 3 of the other 4 are probably about half their size and the last one is a bit closer in size, but still definitely not quite as big. My question is what would you do? I’ve only had them in quarantine for 5 days, I’ve seen on here 1-2 months is typical for quarantine. I think it was you that recommended keeping a pair with a couple others to form a strong bond...but I guess my problem is will they make it a month or two in a smallish quarantine tank. I’m just looking for pointers/ideas. I wanted a pair and still do, I just didn’t expect them to pair up the 2nd day and start becoming aggressive so soon (on top of being much bigger) it’s not a good combo lol. Any ideas you can come up with would be appreciated!!
