I just finished the Silicone. Turned out pretty good. Definitely need to tape everything, very messy job, without it.

Did you strip out old silicone?
Ive done few tanks already where ive stripped old silicone and applied new and never had leak problem. Although for my curious nature i wanted to see what will happen when applied new silicone over old one . As people said , wont stick much and will leak ;-)

I do however have "bubble gum" patching a lexan on silicone leak on a baffle in my sump.
